Information for entry and stay
Dear guests and friends of the Ayurveda Paragon,
“Nothing is as constant as change.” This famous quote from the Greek philosopher Heraclitus is still valid after two and a half thousand years.
There are also changes in Sri Lanka and in the Ayurveda Paragon Hotel regarding the regulations for entry and residence, which we would like to inform you about below.
We are a Safe & Secure certified hotel and comply with all strict hygiene and sanitary regulations set by the Ministry of Health and the Tourism Authority in Sri Lanka.
A stay at the Ayurveda Paragon is possible for completely Covid19 vaccinated guests, for guests who have recovered from Covid19 and for unvaccinated guests.
Definition of the tourism authority and the entry requirements for Sri Lanka:
Vaccinated guests have received all scheduled doses of the respective vaccine and the last vaccination was at least 2 weeks ago. All Covid19 vaccines approved in the respective home country and also cross-vaccinations (2 different Covid19 vaccines) are recognized. A negative PCR / Antigen test is not necessary, unless the airline requires a test.
Recovered guests must meet the following requirements: Your Covid19 illness was not more than 6 months ago and you have written evidence (in English). You must have received at least one Covid19 vaccination and the vaccination was given at least two weeks before you entered Sri Lanka. A negative PCR / Antigen test is not necessary, unless the airline requires a test.
Unvaccinated guests must present a negative PCR / Antigen test prior to departure for Sri Lanka.
PCR / Antigen test
The PCR test must not be older than 72 hours at the time of (flight) boarding, the Antigen test must not be older than 48 hours at the time of boarding. The time of sampling is decisive for the time calculation. The test must have been performed by an official laboratory (self-testing is NOT allowed). The test result must be in English.
The visa for entry can be applied online at www.eta.gov.lk
All travelers must provide proof of travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of $50,000 and also cover COVID19 illness during their stay. The insurance must cover the duration of the stay in Sri Lanka plus additional 14 days.
If your travel medical insurance does not cover Covid19, you can purchase a Sri Lankan Covid19 insurance. It does not replace a general travel health insurance and is only valid for the treatment of Covid19 disease in Sri Lanka. The insurance is valid for 30 days from entry and costs 12 USD per person. It can be extended for a further 2 months on site. You can get this insurance at https://portal.pionline.lk/covidinsurance/ or at the airport in Sri Lanka. You can find the insurance conditions here https://srilanka.travel/helloagain/documents/COVID-19Insured/COVID-19Insured.pdf
In Sri Lanka a mask is currently compulsory as soon as you move around in public.
Please note that the guidelines may be adapted and changed again and again by the authorities.
